In addition to a wide range of musical opportunities, regular concert performances and occasional visits to professional events, DYJA is actively involved in collaborative high-profile music exchange projects with two European partner groups.
Week-long exchange projects have taken place each year since 1994.
DYJA’s young people enjoy the social, cultural and linguistic benefits of two well established exchange programmes with Limonest in the Rhone region of France and with Herten in the Westphalia region of Germany.
These successful cultural exchanges between Doncaster, France and Germany have on occasion received European Dimension Awards.
As a result of the success of cultural exchange participation with European partners, many of our members, past and present, have continued to develop lasting and meaningful friendships, as well as on-going work and educational opportunities.
