Generous donation of Junior Drum Kit
DYJA has just received an incredibly generous donation of a drum kit from the Scott Johnson Foundation.
The foundation, which was set up in memory and honour of Scott Johnson who tragically lost his life whilst working at a Radiohead concert in Toronto in 2012, has seen many underpriviledged young people benefit from a drum kit.
Paul Munday, who founded the Scott Johnson Foundation, heard about the young drummers of Doncaster Youth Stage Band and with some students only being 6/7/8 years old, they really needed a smaller kit than the one DYJA has at the centre.
A Sonor Jungle small kit was donated by John Scott, a snare drum was donated by James Middleton and Paul Munday added hardware and cymbals to complete the kit.
This small kit is perfect for the youngest drummers of DYJA and we are incredibly grateful to Paul Munday and the Scott Johnson Foundation for this generous donation for our students to start out on. Thank you!
